Les Belles Choses in Eastman
Being both an antique and craftspeople shop, Les Belles Choses has chosen to present only objects that are TRUE, handmade by local artisans and that have charmed us by their beauty, their history and cultural interest.
Les Belles Choses was acquired in early 2013 and moved from its original location to the summer kitchen of one of Eastman’s earliest homes: the blue house which can be found as you leave the village centre going East on route 112 at number 620.
Here, you will find furniture, tools, ceramics, textiles and eclectic finds from Asia, Europe and America.
At the blue house, you will meet Pierre Groulx, co-owner and cabinetmaker, specializing in the design and construction of fine hardwood furniture. He is also an expert on traditional finishes and their restoration.
Our stock of products that includes milk paints, oils, waxes and varnishes will meet any of your most demanding restoration projects.
Finally, Les Belles Choses has a small gallery that it uses to display objects - both beautiful and functional – representing the work of local artisans.
During winter months, our shop welcomes you on week-ends or by appointment on other days.
